Tampereen Jousiampujat ry

Tampereen jousiampujat ry (TJA) is an archery club from Tampere and a member of the Finnish Archery Association (SJAL). Club's training facilities are located in Osmonkallio's air-raid shelter and in Mustavuori archery center during outdoor season.

Club's training activities are mainly concentrated to target archery, but some of the members participate also to field and 3D archery competitions. The most used bow type is recurve bow which is also used in olympics. However, other bow types like compound are also widely used nowadays.

Tampere offers good opportunities for archery as a hobby. The air-raid shelter is available constantly and offers possibility to shoot at up to 70m long track. Mustavuori archery center is on the other hand located in a peaceful place and fulfills criterias set for international competitions.

TJA is one of the largest archery clubs in Finland. The club has several trained coaches who can offer their experience and expertise in courses and demo sessions.
